Good afternoon; it’s so good to see you again. How are the washer and dryer working out for you? What’s that? Let me make sure I understand: You’re saying they aren’t working properly?
No worries! Here at the Cheap Grace Appliance and Application Center, we pride ourselves on being able to give sometime-support to our customers. And today, you’re fortunate: it’s one of the days we offer support! Okay, tell me what’s wrong.
Ah, there’s the problem—your expectations are too high! When you push the “start” button on any of our washers and dryers, they’re only obedient to that command some of the time. The fact that your appliances follow your directions most of the time is absolutely amazing. It simply isn’t going to get any better than that.
It’s like cheap grace. Nobody expects anybody to follow the commands of Jesus all of the time. Otherwise, we’d be fanatics, right? And, like these washing machines, if we keep the expectations low, then none of us will feel too much pressure to follow the commands of Jesus all the time. (wink) Know what I mean?
What? Your washer? Right, right—the owner’s manual says the spin cycle will always follow the wash and rinse, but I’m afraid only a few of our washers actually adhere to the Book. But, this should please you—many of our washers admit that, when you push the wash button and they don’t respond to your command , they agree they are doing wrong. You could say they’re sinning instead of spinning. Ha—okay, sorry, just a little service and support humor.
Well, I’m glad I could explain all of this to you. Thanks for coming by—say, that looks like a mustard stain on your shirt? You really should wash that soon.
